Pizza is one of the most popular foods in the United States. There are many varieties of pizza. The different types are cheese, sausage, pepperoni, veggie, and many more. There are also diffrent styles of Pizza. There has been lots of controversy about what type of pizza is the best thin crust or deep dish.  Many people believe that the idea of pizza originated from Italy but it really didn’t, it originated from the Greek who thought of flat round bread baked with topping.

Pizza is one of those foods that was created in one country but was famous in another. The early Greek came up with the idea of making a baked large, round and flat bread that was anointed with oil, herbs and spices.  In the 18th century the idea of pizza made its way to Italy. It was made by a man named Raffeale Esposito. The reason he made the first pizza was because of Queen Margaretta.  The first pizza was made of tomatoes, mozzarella cheese, and fresh basil.  Pizza got its name from when it came to Italy and that’s what they began to call it.

There are many types of pizza, one type of Pizza is Neapolitan pizzas and it is icooked in a wood-fire or brick oven. The crust is very thin and its bubbled. The Tomato sauce has a sweet tangy flavor and it also has a licorice flavor of julienned basil.  It has scattered peices of fresh mozzarella accent but it does not cover the whole pizza.  It is never served in slices and it is rarely pre-cut.  Chicagoan Pizza has thick crust that is made with butter  and oil that makes it crispy and makes it have a buttery flavor.  The cheese on the pizza is under the sauce.  The ingredents are stuffed in-between the cheese and the sauce.  When you eat this pizza it will require a knife and fork.  California Pizza is a pizza that has seasonal ingredents, which are often organic and local.  It has a very thin crust and it has many diffrent toppings it would be enjoyable with.  New York Pizza is a pizza with a blanket of cheese and a layer of sweet tomato sauce. The toppings are the best thing and it tastes better folded in half.

There has been a lot of controversy about deep dish pizza vs thin crust.  In Chicago people are saying that Chicago is beginning to become a thin crust city.  Even though back in the day Chicago was an deep dish city.

Re-write opening paragraph with properly structured sentences. Good bibliography but re-check your formatting.
