Chewing gum is one of the world's oldest confections. It is believed that this popular treat originated from the ancient Greeks. They chewed a substance called mastchie- a chewy material made from the resin of the mastic tree. In other parts of the world there are trees with similar chewy saps. The first people to chew it was the Greeks and the Mayans. They mainly ate the unsweetened sap of the trees that contained the chewy substance, the women usally ate it because it whitened their teeth and freashened their breath. A Swedish archeologist found the oldest piece of gum in 1993 and noted that it was over 9,000 years old and thinks it was chewed by a prehistoric teenager.Walter Diemer invented bubble gum (not chewing gum) he made it pink becaused it was the only dye he had, for twelve years 1992 to 2004 there was a complete ban of the sweetened chewy snack in Singapore they even started to fine people even if they have it today medicial gum is avaible only with a doctors precription.IMilestones:

You still need to properly format your sources. Try to make your article flow better with longer sentences. Your intro is too choppy right now.
